Noticed your neighbors puttting solar panels on their roof as yet? Well get ready because the solar energy boom has arrived.
Now more than ever the emphasis is on taking America to a much cleaner and abundant supply if energy and no better place to start than right now. Now perhaps the words "FREE" didnt ring a bell to you–Remember your last electrcity bill? How would you have liked to keep that money? Installing a solar panel power grid will likely be a one time investment and the benefits can last as long as your have a fully functioning solar energy supply. Once you have your unit installed the energy you reap is yours and free to use or share (if you so choose) with neighbours and friends. In your live in Arizona, Nevada, Texas, California to name a few where sunshine is guaranteed all most year round, imagine the impact that would on your electric bill. This not only allows for greater flexibility in how much power you use, but will save you a lot of money which is good in any economy.
The tax benefits. Though we get into this in detail in a another post, the tax benefits being offered by having some sort of solar eletrical generating sytem is a major reason why solar is the way to go for many families wanting to save money.
Peace of mind. Now I don’t know about you, but the peace of mind I would get with having a solar electrical sytem on my roof, backyard whereever, is another reason to invest now. Knowing that your have a sytem in place of the electrical company that is abundant and free is the one of the best feelings I can imagine and is also recession proof, no one is going to charge you for harnasing the sun’s energy because of economic hard times and how know what justification the electrica company will have for going up 10%, 20% and beyond in the future.
Of course there are some drawback and the biggest right now is "COST".
Installing a solar power system as of now is expensive (depending on how much power you need). The good news is that this will only onl get cheaper as more more players come into the market and technolgies improve. Governments are also trying to address this issue by offering incentives to buyers as rebates (check your local government for details) as different areas offer different incentives.
